I have at this point spent more time troubleshooting than playing, but I REALLY want to know that I can load save games before I freaking binge this game over the weekend. And the "Failed to load save file" error persists. But I have discovered that upon launching the game, all saves in my save folder are instantly regenerated.

I navigated to the save file folder indicated in these forums and moved all of my saves into a backup folder (leaving the game folder empty) hoping that I could reset it somehow. I have exited and rebooted the game and steam several times. I tried clicking "Continue" instead, and same error. I repeated those steps for every save I had, getting the same response each time. I clicked "Campaign", then Load Game, selected my most recent of the two saves, and got a message "Failed to load save file"

The cab doesnt contain mechs, there is nothing for the save editor to pickup. If you know the equipment's I'd from the json file you could also manually try adding it by entering it into the text fields instead of using the drop downs. Of course this will only work for items already in your inventory. If you do you can change the values in the table directly by clicking the value column of the mechs/equipment and entering the amount you want.
